What is the Mount Seymour Ski Club?
The MSSC was established in 1936 and is the second oldest alpine ski club in BC . We offer programs for kids ages 6-18 on Mount Seymour. We are a small non-profit club run by members for the members.

Where do we train?
Our training center is located on Seymour 16’s just behind the rental building. U14/U16’s will also train on Unicorn located off the Mystery Chair lift on Saturday and Sunday mornings.
We have on snow training Sat/ Sun 8:30 – 2:30, and Tues/ Thurs 6:00 – 9:00
- U8/U10 train one both or one weekend day.
- U12s train one or both weekend day and one or both weeknights.
- U14/U16s train both weekend days and both weeknights.
Each athlete should have:
- Warm ski clothes, this includes a base layer, mid layer, and outer layer (cotton is not recommended)
- Skis, poles, boots, and hard ear helmet
Your child must be able to turn and stop on command, and be comfortable loading and sitting on the chairlift.
No, races and events are all optional. You can choose to participate in as many or few as you wish. We will do our best to always have a coach on Seymour for children who choose not to participate.
Yes! We have scheduled days each month where prospective members can come out and ski with us for a day. Please visit our Racer for a Day page for more information on dates and registration. There is a small fee of $25 for a temporary BC Alpine Membership which is required to participate for the day.
Due to coach to child ratio we can only accommodate 5 children per date, so we suggest signing up early if you are interested!
Another great option is Christmas camp. This is a 3-4 day camp from December 27-30 where we will work on get comfortable on our skis again and focus on developing fundamental skills through activities, drills, and stubbie gates.
How do I register?
To register for programs and camps you need to create an online account with the Mount Seymour Ski Club. There you can register for programs, sign up and pay for camps, and sign your BC Alpine Waiver.
